"so far [they have] broken into a treat jar of salmon flakes that they proceeded to eat until they couldn't anymore... and then spread the rest over the entire kitchen floor. They have knocked a jar of sardine filets to the floor and batted it around until the lid came off...stashing some all over the house after gorging themselves. And their latest trick was to open a drawer and chew through a bag of 'greenies' treats. You would think I never fed them at all."

"Diamond is so funny. This morning he woke me by lightly bitting my arm. When I went into the bathroom I noticed he had no food so I think he was trying to tell me. When I get home from work he jumps on my thigh and hangs there but doesn't dig his claws into me but that's when he wants his wet food. Is he be agressive or just trying to tell me something? Zaharah is more picky and only likes attention when she's ready for it. But they both always sleep right next to me in bed at night or when they take naps and I am here. Diamond loves to be held over the shoulder. I hold him for about ten minutes after work and tell him how much I've missed him and he just stays there and seems to really enjoy it."

"He tapped me on the shoulder from his tree when I was writing that, which is his "I want to sit on your lap" gesture (different to his pawing me in the face in the morning "Get out of bed, lazy human" gesture!). If he finishes his water or food bowl, or he just thinks it's too old, the wrong temperature, or any other dissatisfaction he may have, he has started pushing it into the middle of the room to let me know. He's getting really smart. He's also phenomenally gentle - he's never scratched or bitten me, which is pretty unheard of for any cat, let alone one with this much wild blood! He's never had an accident either. He's quite the special young man, you did an amazing job raising him :)"

"It appears that if she gets bored ... she is going to let us know. When she wakes up ... she lets us know. If she is tired ... she lets us know...What seems to strike us the most is her energy level ... petal to the metal ... until she crashes, then she could sleeps though a train horn blast. Also very curious ... needs to know what is happening at all times ... everywhere."
